Politico has published my short exhortation on James Madison. It’s a bit compressed but still readable.

    This civics lesson political tactical advice is trite and incoherent. Not only are such exhortations not a surprise, they are a cliche. This “rediscover our roots” wisdom is exactly the kind of fodder you hear on the establishment media. Appeals to authority (any authority) are not only reactionary, but also childish. If you have something good to say, why do you need Madison to back it up?
